Well it's not an accurate assessment with Kitterman vs OFC since Kitterman guested a few of the better 03 Amos girls... OFC would have crushed them without the help... Not to mention I heard through the grapevine that 03 Williams took Kitterman out in a recent scrimmage.

Disagree with your assessment. We did have two Amos guest players, but, honestly, played much better when the guest players from Winters were on the field...they've played together some and grooved together better. Amos girls were not a factor to any large degree. Could it have ended a bit different if no Amos players, who knows? But "crushed them" very unrealistic on your part IMHO. In the first game your one goal came from a free kick just past the 18 line. I guess we'll see next season if we move up a year in OPL. Maybe you had a bad game like we did last night against Williams (who, to their credit, looked pretty solid...I think they'll be giving you trouble next year if they play every game like that!). We'll see...Glad to know that you're keeping up on our scrimmages. You wouldn't happen to know who we play next, would you? My schedule seems to be misplaced....

LOL... I'm not with OFC! That's the funny part! But I am just pointing out facts about the Amos players... They sure played alot to not have made a difference... hmmm. Kitterman is a great team! Nobody denies that... But I guess we will see how things shake out with your new coaches huh? IMHO the Kitterman team will struggle in the 03 Gold bracket of OPL.

They weren't there for about half the games, as I remember. Memory could be faulty. They were there for the OFC games...Also, probably will have a much harder time if we do go up into 03 Gold OPL....that'd be why we'd do it! This is definitely NOT a GotSoccer point chasing team (sometimes wish we were, but mostly happy we're not!) Very Happy

That was all I meant...  And no disrespect to the Kitterman team.  OFC was the only team Kitterman needed the guest players for.  I am not a fan of guest players though because there is never an accurate assessment of how a team that practices together all season fares against another.  My point was only to the previous statements made.  How would the team have done without the help?  We will never know, but based on what I have seen from all of the teams my opinion still stands.  However, Kitterman's team is the best 04 team in the state hands down and probably would hang well against MOST of the 03 teams on any given day.  Hopefully we will get to see exactly how well next season!  03 Amos is out of their league in the OPL Bracket they are playing in this season.  Winning 4 of 18 games isn't where you want to be either.  That can have a backward effect on development...  When you go from playing a well executed game and winning to fighting for your life, development just doesn't happen.

In two weeks we will all know what happens and then we can start a new thread about what will happen the next year.

I know my father wouldn't give me his last name and thus I may be a bit dimwitted. But it seems to me why would you want to bring 03s to the team for Lexus cup if you didn't need them and they weren't going to play. It sounds like a Lannister idea to increase their riches (more gotsoccer recognition points and/or for recruiting other teams aka Blitz) without disclosing the treachery of their ways (pretend the 03s didn't help any).

Re: Lexus Cup and Blitz Tournaments

The answer, short and simple, is that we have a roster of 12. We need guest players. Winters girls were playing in their own games that often conflicted with ours games. I contend that we didn't "need" the Amos girls in that it ended up they didn't contribute much to the OFC games specifically. Now, agreed that that can be hard to determine as who knows what would've happened if they were't there. As for jonsnow's point, we are not a GotSoccer point chasing team. Sometimes wish we were. For instance, played up in the Highlander's Cup in the U13 bracket cuz we wanted to play to get better...no 03 Amos girls there. Went to PK's in the final with Arundel and lost. If we were GotSoccer point chasers, we'd enter enter things like the Red Earth Invitational....

So we only carry 12 is the excuse. Lets think. maybe other teams would be better if just their 12 best kids played. This seems as yet another game played to limit roster so kids that could hurt them don't get playing time. Don't play victim because you chose to carry 12 when we all know TSC has more than enough players to give you a 15-18 roster.

dear raven from the east. It appears you chose to avoid the question as to why even bring the 03 girls in the first place. I respect the chosen path of avoidance when that path clearly leads to defeat.

Got a little close with the Red Earth thing, I see! Obviously, when playing up a year in a Platinum tournament, you want to win...so if you're gonna guest play, you bring the best guesties possible. I made note earlier that I was surprised that that the 04 Winters girls fit in and played better in a "team sense" with us than the 03 Amos girls. No big deal, and certainly nothing to obsess about (unless, of course, your daughter lost in the finals that game...but even then, really? We're many weeks past the Lexus Cup). Let it go. Hopefully we'll be seeing you all in OPL if we play up next year. You have a good team. Relax. Insert some referential bit about "Game of Thrones" here, if it'll make you feel better about things! Razz

As far as the low roster goes, that's a whole other story involving Kool-Aid and Club politics too boring to go back into! Water under the bridge and soon to be corrected (hopefully!)
