What tier?   We play in top tier.   I know your team hasn't in the past.  By the way your hate for SLSC showing through.  I know you didn't like aa coach but why the concern on 04s.  Isn't your DD an 06 playing up on 05?  Be happy man.

No concern. I asked you fair question. Just wondering why you won't answer it. And if works out like you think it should be Norman will silver in the
Spring. They played 8s last year, they used the year to try and get better. They had three different coaches during academy and were behind the
8 ball.

Norman 04s played in the gold in 8s and 11s last year. So I see it happening this year too.

Frankly neither TSC Amos or Norman deserve to be automatic into Gold. Just look at their 11v11 records last year. They both should have to prove they belong. That being said TSC Parker (Winters), Blitz and SLSC proved it last year.
Let the two 8v8 teams play each other with the winner playing SLSC. That should be a fair way to determine who should be in gold.

You right. But as long as you offer 8s and 11s at u-11 you will have the same issue.

Seems like SLSC didn't prove they belonged if they had 2 wins, 1 tue and 5 losses.... I am guessing just between those teams that also means a negative goal diff.... Maybe it should just be a 4 team league and thy can all play each other 3 times.

Only team to score on kittermen in league play and draw and lose to them. Split our games with blitz and ofc and lose two very close matches that could of gone either way against winters, so explain to me how we didn't earn our way into a gold division

This is the best idea since New Coke.  I guess if SLSC wasn't good enough then neither was Blitz, they finished 3-5 against the big girls.  So maybe the Top 3 should play against each other 4 times?  Actually, now that I think of it OFC got a forfeit out of Kitterman; play that game and they are probably 3-1-4....scratch them too.  So by your logic Kitterman and Winters could play each other 5 times!

Why are they limiting it to just 5 teams if there are more quality teams to play gold? Keep griffin (is OSA not allowing them to play up???), Parker, blitz, OFC, and SLSC and drop Arsenal (since they are only existing team left in last place) and pull up Norman (since they were first in 8v8). Play everyone twice. That was supposed to be the rule: bottom team of gold drops and top team of silver goes up to gold. I think everyone here knows that 11v11 was gold and 8v8 was silver...

soccersmuck's idea was good too!

But just trumping Norman and Amos over Blitz, Winters and SLSC is ridiculous. Wonder if Norman and Amos were asking/fighting for those spots with OSA or did OSA just come up with it on their own?

in light of the fact OSA said they were going to do it with top 5 from last year because standings were so "close" and or add more teams for fall league I don't put anything past anyone. This truly boggles the mind as it was done in closed doors without any input from coaches. email was sent at 4:28 and phones were closed at 4:30 which shows OSA knew they were doing wrong. Again, OSA is unnecessary for the big clubs and I for one am tired of them.

Just imagine. OFC doesn't get forfeit they are in playoff against blitz who beat them the majority of the time. I don't say this to bash anyone but to illustrate the absurdity of things. Combine a 2-1 loss to winters that winters parents and is felt was a great game at home by SLSC (with 4 starters missing) and you really have crazy. Truth is, the division was very competitive. If this stands everyone loses and doesn't get their money's worth as very few competitive games in either division.

My point is that you have whined more than teams that did better than you and put down other teams that might get the chance to benefit from getting experience against stronger teams. You had your chance. You finished 5th and had a negative goal diff. You never scored more than 1 goal in any of those games and while you point out games where you where close there where also some 0-3 losses. You didn't win a game at state cup. I just do not see those results as something that makes it clear that you should automatically deserve a spot when OSA is just placing 5 teams in the gold division..... I'm done with this mesaage and usually don't post. I just got tired of SLSC making it sound like OSA was so wrong and putting down other teams and making excuses when teams like Winters and Blitz are the ones that really got hosed. I'm not saying SLSC is a bad team. They just happen to fall in that spot that going forward would have been relegated anyways and based on the rules I would've expected OSA to just promote NYSA.

The rules changed. The rules that were present last year are not the rules present this year. I'm fine if it was the rules and coaches can plan accordingly. That did not happen this year.
