OSA Spring Schedules
Anyone have any idea what OSA is doing? Many games scheduled after Presidents Cup and State Cup.
With true age coming and teams dissolving to form new teams, why would teams want to play games after state tournaments are over?

Re: OSA Spring Schedules
It looks like schedules are final now and while some changes...still a lot of games after state tournaments. As you mention so very very odd for a variety of reasons! OSA cant seem to get out of their own way...another massive fail!

Re: OSA Spring Schedules
Simple solution that OSA continues to ignore. First, season should be year long with 8 - 9 team league. Each team plays 8 games in fall and 8 games in spring with each opponent being played once in the season.
I know this makes too much sense for OSA to understand but hey. The way it is set now there is too much administrative time with OSA, clubs and team managers working twice a year to get schedule right. OSA would argue with the quality of an 8 - 9 team league at the top. I for one think it would be good. Just like in Dallas and even the premier league there will be teams that struggle. That said, good lessons come to the kids and its nice to have a "winnable" game or two. That said, if kids come in too cocky they lose those games.

Re: OSA Spring Schedules
I agree with that... Except at the end of the fall season there should be a relegation/promotion clause that dumps the bottom two teams and promotes the top two from the lower bracket. That would be pretty solid.

I'm good with that. At the younger ages (before SRPL) the top group is a bear with no "easy" games. i think its something that every team needs to learn is how to beat opponents your supppose to beat and not take the night off. Further, less risks of injuries et al. Most importantly, less adminstrative time devoted to scheduling and it enables clubs/teams to better plan their tournaments. THe year before when this was done OSA didn't balance the schedule between fall and spring which IMO was the major issue.

Re: OSA Spring Schedules
I agree that the top division should have 9 teams. Not everyone can finish first.
And I don't understand games after state cup is over???

Re: OSA Spring Schedules
Makes no sense... The spring season is for development this year anyway. That's all.
