Guess not Gunners006. My daughters sister team is but has not received a schedule as of yet and I cannot find any accepted teams list for the tourney.

A little over 150 teams accepted is the last number I heard. Looks like quite a few teams from out of state even. Not a huge tournament, but it looks like it will live up to expectations. I was told schedules will be out hopefully tomorrow (there were a few last minute teams that registered late).

That was some of the worst officiating I've seen. We're already refusing to play in WSA tourneys because of the consistently bad refs. May add Blitz to that list after this one.

Don't all of the refs come from the same pool for these tournaments?

It seems like refs are affiliated with clubs and work those seasons and tournaments. The long/short of it is that refs are there to enforce rules and keep kids safe. There needs to be some sort of continued-filtering process for officals, Continuing Education and so forth.

I see the same guys when I go to sand springs as I see when I go to Indian springs/jenks/Mohawk. I also see a lot of them on high school games. It may be a perception thing. Then, maybe I'm wrong due to a misperception on my part. But I've been going to these fields following my 97 and my 04 for a long time.

Maybe so. I'm, more than likely, just thrown for a loop since the two most bizarre games I've ever seen were officiated by the same referee.

I have heard from friends whose daughters played in it and they too were wondering where they got the referees.

After looking at it, the referee (and referee assignor for that matter) are the same group that works most of the Tulsa area tournaments. The refs don't work with any particular clubs. They just go where the tournaments are.

We had two refs that were horrible in the U10 age group for boys. One even told us we could sub on the fly like indoor.

Refs in OKC and Tulsa do not work for a particular club. As Roughneck pointed out there are assignors (only 1 or 2 on each side of the state) that all clubs use for tournaments. Sometimes quality referees are limited because of other tournaments and/or high school games et al.

You get what you get no matter where your at.
