The Blue Room
Since season is about to go full throttle. I just thought it would be nice to have an area for all the excuse makers to have an area where they can come and cry on each other shoulder. Seems appropriate to have a place like this in today's society. You can explain all the "legitimate reasons" why you lost here in the blue room. The refs were horrible, we were missing a key player, wet possessed the ball 99% of the game just couldn't score 1 goal, with true age our team just wasn't into it, my daughter lost her lucky cleats and the dog ate my teams lucky scoring ball. If you feel you have something to say and don't have the courage to come lean on a shoulder on the blue room, no worries I will muster up enough courage for us both and post your heart felt excuses, I mean emotions, in the blue room for you. However, hopefully everyone will be okay and give their opponents there respect for that game if we/you lose and not disrespect a teams victory with posts in the "Blue Room"
Good luck to all of you.
Good luck to all of you.

Re: The Blue Room
Blue room material for sure. Daughter is in OCL first year as competitive, which is where she belongs at this stage in her development. However, I just hate when coaches bring in players from their top team in OPL to "help" their lower OCL team win, especially when they have their full normal roster. What could be a good match for both teams turns into a one sided look at me fest. Not dissing the players at all, just the coach. Nope won't name any names either because our coach was guilty of that last season and we parents let him know we did not approve of him doing that.

Looks like they put who "should be" the #1 and #2 teams in the state in opposite brackets....so I don't see the issue.

Re: The Blue Room
To me... It looks like they purposely put OFC in the same bracket with Griffin so they could come out as a 2nd seed and have the best chance to not get eliminated until the finals (thus giving them a runner up status). And yes I know anything can happen in 12 year old soccer.
They are avoiding what happened to their 03's last year IMHO.

...better hope our 05's don't tie them! Goal differential will become a HUGE factor

Which teams are those?

Re: The Blue Room
Typical OSA screw up by putting TSC Griffin (#1 seed) and OFC (#2 seed) in same pool. It should have been no brainer to have them in different pools. Another example of clueless OSA!

Re: The Blue Room
Well I actually think they got it right for once. With griffen and ofc in same bracket it pretty much guarantees both team in semis and not matching up with each other again till finals. Then it leaves 3-5 battling for two spots in semis against the one and two seeds from the from other bracket.

Re: The Blue Room
Based upon head to head competition this is a no brainer that OFC and TSC are guaranteed semifinal spots. Further, this guarantees that they do not see each other in the semifinals. Therefore, i do not see how they can complain.
Not talking trash but if i'm OFC i'm very happy with this draw. They handled the much smaller TSC 05s easily last fall and they avoid 3 teams in which any gap appears to have significantly narrowed. In other words, Griffin would most likely have been a given to come through either bracket whereas one could argue OFC's probabilities coming through the other bracket would have been significantly lower.

When did this happen? I looked back through the history on got soccer and it looks like TSC '05's and OFC '04's tied in the fall Blitz tournament 1-1... Did they play each another another time? It's definitely OFC's game to lose but I wouldn't count the '05's out just yet.

Re: The Blue Room
I thought i remembered in a tournament OFC and Blitz handling the 05s. Who knows i could be wrong. Still think the 05s would struggle against OFC size and the way they play.

I'm curious as to why Careno is playing up in State Cup...I've heard a lot of different reasons thrown around...what's the actual reason(s)?

Re: The Blue Room
The State Cup is like the NCAA basketball tournament in the sense that you never know what is going to happen. while TSC Griffin and OFC are favored there is no automatic bid. TSC Parker won their last tournament and beat Blitz the other night. This team could go deep into the tournament.

I agree with ENERGY also. Just another in a long list of OFC gifts! Scared they might end up a 2 seed on the other side and get the early walking papers.

Re: The Blue Room
It should be griffin v's ofc in finals. Parker won a tounament where they were in gold 2 which should be sliver 1 and blitz just isn't very good, but they should make semis. Toss up for other semi spot

Re: The Blue Room
It's going to be a battle in bracket two because all three teams are not only battling for a semis spot but really battling for a one seed because no one wants to face griffen in semis, lol.

Re: The Blue Room
The Gold 2 teams were equivelant to OFC and Cosmos. There was also a Silver 1, Silver 2, Bronze 1 and Bronze 2. Griffin is the only team in the state that could play with the team they played.
