Dallas Premier Supercopa
Any local teams invited boys or girls? We went last year and what a great experience.

On girls side: TSC 03 Beattie, 04 Griffin, 05 Carreno, & 07 Carreno; Blitz 06 Kepley.
On boys side: TSC 07 AP Carreno. OFC 05 was previously listed on website but is no longer there.
Hard timing to go to with so much turmoil going on because of transition to pure age.

Too bad OFC 05 isn't going. I would like to see how they stack up against the best in the nation since they destroy everyone in Oklahoma.

I mean this without being snarky. What is the purpose of going to this with the teams as currently constructed?
I know I am, and most parents from Dallas through OKC to Tulsa are ready to get the changes over with. Coaches are ready to start working with "their team" versus the one they are currently coaching. I see no real benefit of this from a team perspective.

Pretty sure he is referring to the boys team that won state cup 5-1 and is ranked #27 in the nation by youth soccer rankings (for what that's worth).

Likes like OFC 05 boys scored 43 goals to 3 goals in state cup. Easily the most dominating Oklahoma performance in state cup.

Yes, I am referring to the stud OFC 05 (Phillips) team that can probably beat all the 04 teams too but they are a majority pure age 04s. They are currently in 1st place of the silver U12 division (playing up).
I see it being a beneficial tournament if the majority of your team is returning for pure age. Regardless it is a great experience for the kids. Mine had a blast and I hope we can go back after the new teams are formed.

Isn't super cops the same weekend as tryouts for most state clubs? That's not going to help with Oklahoma attendance.

Re: Dallas Premier Supercopa
It is on the boys side. Girls tournament is 1 week later (along with PremierCopa, which seems to be looking like a pretty good tournament in its own right).
My guess is most teams look at this as a final hurrah type trip with the pure age dictate tearing teams apart at end of June.

I get the last hurrah and could definitely see the "fun" factor in one last out of town tournament.
However, with teams for next year presumably decided after June 1 seems a waste of money for most parents. That said good luck to everyone

We were asked to go to a tournament in a couple weeks. We are wanting to concentrate on tryouts and figure out what team our DD will be on. We are so sad bc our team has amazing chemistry from the parents to players. Ready for tryouts to be over!!!

Re: Dallas Premier Supercopa
OFC 05 played supercopa last year if I'm remembering right. Lost twice in the Plano labor day tournament. Lost playing up in Emerald Cup. It's a much bigger world playing outside OK.

Re: Dallas Premier Supercopa
Correct OFC 05 lost once in bracket play and in the semi finals to the eventual champion Dallas Texans. It is a different world outside of OK. Only the special teams can compete on a regular basis against the top clubs like FC Dallas, Solar Chelsea, Sporting KC.
Supercopa is stiff competition and it is fun to see how some of our players stack up against other players. We usually have a team of 4-5 studs where the tops teams have a full team of studs. Tough to compete with that.

My point exactly! Your only a special team if you can actually beat those teams. Otherwise your just another in a long list of OK bullies.

Re: Dallas Premier Supercopa
The few teams that go down there on the girls side can compete but not as consistently as the teams mentioned above in my opinion...

Schedules are out now. Hopefully the local boys will do decent down there. I hope to drop by and watch the PA Carreno 06 boys team play on Friday evening.

Re: Dallas Premier Supercopa
Congrats to 05 Carreno and 04 Griffin for both making it to the championship game at SuperCopa. Carreno had the best chance of winning, tying 05 Sting Diaz Black in the quarters but falling behind them in the final game 1-0 before being canceled by rain.
07 Carreno and 03 Beattie also played very well but came up just short.
