I have been reading some pro Club soccer posts in other threads. Then I click on the link above. I cannot help but be underwhelmed.

Not real sure how these scrimmages work, and I only looked at a couple teams, but they only had 4 games scheduled. Will they schedule more?

You factor in tournaments, friendlies with other clubs and scrimmages; they will play plenty. The academy program is typically designed to get good matchups without the pressure of scores. A TSC 06 girls team could play a TSC 05 girls team and both teams should have the opportunity to move kids around and try new things without worrying about winning. My daughter's coach used these games to try new formations, new positions and work on strengths and weaknesses. We would then go to tournaments or have friendlies where it got a little more serious. Contrast this to rec where the vipers are playing snakes in 6 v 6 and its little more than kickball. With the way soccer is going, the earlier you are able to establish the fundamentals of the game the more chances your daughter will have. Most rec coaches do not have the knowledge base to teach the right fundamentals.

They only had 4 games scheduled as well

SLSC has a link, but no games posted.

Norman has a PYDL w/ Clinton, MWC, NWO, & CVFC (7 games ish seasons) along w/ in house, ESC & NOKC friendlies.

ESC has 4 games against their own teams, and 2 friendlies each against NOKC & Norman scheduled.

Looks to me like almost all of the academies are doing the same thing, just listing it out different.
