I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the state cup will not be played this weekend:)

Great game between Kitterman and Blitz last night, both teams fought and played hard. Kitterman scored off a free kick in the last 2 minutes of the game.

Noticed Kitterman had 2 stud '05 guest players with them, are they playing in state cup with you?

So Kitterman has added 05s and 04s. Wow!!!

Don't forget about the Mia Hamm clone, 03's and I heard they deflate the game ball. 

It was a really good game last night. Both teams had opportunities to score. Foul called outside the 18 with 2 minutes to go. Wasnt happy about it at first but my daughter did say the girl got tripped. So they were able to take advantage of a mistake. Both teams played hard. Kitterman is really fast and well coached. It was fun to watch.

I think OSA made a good move for this weekend.

Nice that they did it more than 24 hours out. I appreciate that.

This weekend's games on May 8-10 move to May 23-24 with games as currently scheduled:
Finals Mazzio's Presidents Cup all ages and State Cup U17-U18: Edmond Soccer Complex.
U11-16 State Cup Prelims: Edmond Soccer Complex.
Note - Monday May 25 will be an alternate play date.

Hotel Information:
If you have made reservations through Successful Sporting Events, Lindsey LaZaroff will be working to transfer all of your hotel reservations over to the rescheduled weekends. Please do not call your hotel and cancel reservations at this time. She will be in touch with each team as reservations have been successfully transferred. If you have made reservations on your own please contact your hotel to cancel.
May 15-17
NO games will be scheduled due to High School playoffs, graduations and availability of fields.
May 22-25 games will move to May 30-31:
Finals State Cup U11-16: Edmond Soccer Complex.
Also U19s (entire weekend depending on teams).
Alternate play dates if not all tournament games can be played by May 31 will be June 6-7.
Team Check in information:
No team check in today.
Early team check in will be on Thursday, May 21, 12pm-7pm at the Tulsa & OKC offices.
Friday night check in will be on May 22 at the Country Inn & Suites, the host hotel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (3518 W Memorial Rd, OKC, OK)

Competitive Team Tryouts:
Competitive team tryout signing period is the Saturday following completion of the State Cup Tournament, this date will now move from Saturday, May 30 to Saturday, June 6.

I wish they would just play the group stage and finals day over the long weekend. 2 games on Saturday and 2 games on Sunday, if you make the next round you play on Monday. I know a lot of families that have plans to go on vacation on 5/30. That could throw major wrinkle in games and in tryouts.

I completely agree Roughneck. Take advantage of the holiday weekend and play the finals on Monday.

It don't really matter to me, lol:)

I'm just wondering how many families are their vacation plans screwed by OSA moving tryouts.

They could leave the tryout dates as they were if they'd just utilize Memorial Day as the Finals day. I know that we've gone to a few tournaments that use a 3rd consecutive day for playoff rounds. But this way is just easier for OSA since they don't have to redo the schedules.

Looks like state cup might be cancelled again.

OSA sent out an email this afternoon that says,"We are monitoring the weather and will continue to keep teams updated if there are any changes. Currently everything remains as scheduled." I hope there is a Plan C, but as of right now it looks like we're playing this weekend.

Well we shall see, there's a good chance of severe weather Saturday.

In looking at the schedule, I'm curious if anyone has done any investigation into how much money changed hands between OFC and the scheduler? What do people think the going rate is?
