Any highlights?

Have you ever played a game where you controlled the game and lost? That was this game for OFC. We kept shooting and shooting the whole game. They shot twice and scored one. Game played 80% In front of their goal. First half they crossed the half line twice. I will say their goalie is amazing.

U guys had one good shot on goal and we stopped it. The reason why the ball was on your side is because your back number 7 would just clear it everytime. I'm tired of parents saying they controlled whole game, the fact of the matter is we finish, we had three good oppurtunitys to score. You guys had a lot of shots about 30 yards out, lol good luck getting those to fall, u had 1 shot in the 18, you guys has possetion prob 65-35 but didnt get good shots. So people when u lose just except it and quit making excuses. One thing I did notice is that one of there top players was hurt, and she's a salty little player

I will say this - the definition of an actual shot may need to be looked at by a few parents.

Cranking them from 35 for them to roll up to a goalies feet are not shots.....sorry.

Interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out....New respect for SLSC, I would guess. West side interesting, for sure, in terms of who wins, when, and where...

A lot of girls will be staying at SLSC if this keeps up out west!

First half I would say 70-30 ofc but only one good opportunity to score maybe two, our keeper made great saves. We had one good opportunity in first have, our right mid beat there back line and went to shoot and there keeper came out and fell on ball, great play by keeper. Second half 55-45 ofc but no great oppurtunitys to score. We had two in second half and capitalized on one. Left mid cut inside and made a great cross, that keeper almost got but barely missed and our right mid put in. Then bout 5 min after that our left mid made a run and was by herself and goalie came out again and dove on ball before she shot and made a great stop. Ofc is a great team and the game could of went either way, good job ofc can't wait to play u guys again.

Who cares about that game..... Arsenal pulled off the big win over Clinton. They are now tied with Blitz in the standings!

Did some research and hadn't SLSC been playing all last fall and all last spring 11V 11? And you won 1-0 and didn't control the game an indicator of some degree of talent at OFC? Control of game admited by the previous posts of your own parents. I wonder how it would play out if we were not in our 2nd month of learning curve? I know you don't want to lose players to OFC but imagine us with SLSC's experience with 11V 11? Ask yourselves, how did Plano work out for ya last Sept?

I thought OFC and SLSC both played a great game. Both teams had opportunities, and unfortunately for us we couldn't execute on them.

It was nice finally having a set of referees that called the game equally. Now if we can get the referees on the eastside to do the same, lol.
Good game OFC 04 Girls and SLSC 04 Girls. I'm glad we (OFC04) can have a westside "rival". The rest of the season should be interesting for both teams. Now we need to cheer on each other when we play the teams on the eastside.

If we were not shooting on goal continually then why were your parents screaming " Help your goalie, Help you goalie, step up defense". Or did it not happen? Doesn't sound like they were all roll in's. Hey you caused an upset. Props to you, but as a norm these types of games usually are won by the better team..the one controlling the game...i only wish we had all of our girls had been there today.

There are some MAJOR changes that will be coming down from US Soccer that will be affecting ALL of us next fall. U5-U7 will be 3v3, U8-10 will be 5v5 w/gks, U11-12 will be either 8v8 or 9v9 w/gks, and U13-adults will be fullsided. I agree with the mandatory changes, and here is why I agree with it. You have some states (Texas) that plays 11v11 starting at like U7/U8 and you have other states that don't start 11v11 until U13. This change will make it more competitive across the board for everyone. It doesn't matter if a team is a member of US Club or a member of US Soccer. ALL clubs and teams will have to abide by US Soccer, or they will lose their US Soccer membership. From what I was told, this is about 80% for a sure thing US Soccer will be implementing.
