Lexus cup 2014 – Academy games

Have been told that all Academy u7-u10 games will be played at Indian Springs Soccer complex in Broken Arrow.

Great news for those of us with multiple children in Academy that all of them will be at one complex (Indian Springs).

Other complexes being used for this tournament are Metro Tulsa Soccer Complex and Mohawk Park.

Sounds good!!! Bring on the other so called great teams!!!

Looks like the TD is starting to slot teams. There are now several teams, mostly girls, who of been placed in higher brackets. I've seen 06g, 05g, 04g, 03g all rolled up.

Can't imagine the ntx teams like to drive up here just to play each other in u10 11v11. But not too many other options.

Random observations/comments:

*looks like red=gold, white=silver and blue=bronze
*LW sweeps with 04 RASE dominating the 03 gold bracket and Dalglish winning 03 silver
*why isn't Kitterman moving up to challenge RASE or Dalglish?
*would like to see 03 Amos get another shot at 04 RASE, but I think RASE is 2-1 against them
*05 Carreno Gold will win the 05 bracket, although NOKC seems to give them problems
*01 red group looks fun with lots of out of town teams; who is the favorite?

I've heard they are reviewing brackets this evening...so complain now or hold your tongues. I've hear several coaches have already complained. Several teams are trying to move to 11v11 in girls u10 & u11.

Agree on color scheme...no idea why they switched.

03 Amos moved up to u12 for same reason 04 RASE moved to u11.

Would be nice to see Kitterman play RASE and Dalglish.  Also think the 8 teams in U10 11v11 should just be one division.  Move Kitterman up and the others are pretty competitive.  Both 05 teams should do well.  Wish they played 8v8 in the U9's.

TSC Amos should make good run at 8v8 gold division.  

Would have been nice to see 8 teams in U9 gold as well with maybe the St. Louis and Topeka team.  Don't think Arkansas Navy belongs.  

06 Kepley should make a strong showing in the U9 silver side if things stay the same.  Although Carreno red and the 06 Dalglish team should be in Silver.  Would be nice to see those 2 06 teams get a shot to play each other.  

The 2 07 teams could battle it out for the U8 gold division playing up.

I imagine its difficult to make divisions in Academy with so many teams with little history, but hopefully they get some good input and redo some of this.

I don't think Kitterman wants any part of RASE 04. They have played Dalglish I believe. Not sure the outcome?

A little birdy told me Kitterman has played both Dalglish and RASE this year. One match went well, the other not so well. I get the impression Kitterman wants another shot at the top dog. Better be careful what you wish for....

The real question was asked by T-Town. Why is Kitterman playing U10 gold when the real 04 comp is in U11? Let the other U10 TSC team hold down the U10 group.

I remember a good bit of shuffling last year. I'd expect the same this year.

I hadn't heard that about Kitterman; although nothing surprises me with what teams do anymore.

Have heard 2 other TSC teams are interested in u10 11v11.

As most tournaments do, out of town teams can usually dictate where they will play.

Revisions made to Lexus cup brackets.

U9 girls stayed same I think.
U10 girls moves TSC Amos to 11v11; TSC Winters now in gold division (red).
U11 girls moves TSC Williams out of gold division.

Boys U8 now 3 divisions, 2 TSC teams drop from gold to silver.

Good to see Winters moved into gold. They should be playing in the top division. Don't think they win, but they will make interesting games.

Moving Winters to gold & Amos from 8v8 to 11v11 to fill spot both make sense. Will be interesting to see how both teams do.

Each team went from the favorite to a decided underdog.

I wish Kitterman good luck if they decide to play up for a shot at RASE. He will need it, those girls have been playing the top boys teams in the area and beating most. I'd imagine they are better than what they were this time last year. Look forward to seeing some good U10 competition in Tulsa!

I agree it could be ugly if Kitterman played RASE, although I think they could give Dalglish some competition. Assuming 004tulsa is correct and the groups are set, it does not matter anyway. RASE, Dalglish and Kitterman all have other goals to worry about.

I believe more changes will be made tonight. Hopefully to the 05 girls. But do agree most are probably set.

Will be fun to watch Kitterman and Winters in U10 division.

I think Amos still has shot in silver 11v11 bracket. Do agree will be tougher with the move.

Looking forward to a great tournament regardless.

Ok. Though you knew of a ringer not playing in the right bracket.

Tough to tell with so many teams from out of the area and so little history in gotsoccer for these teams. I bet 2 or 3 teams outside of gold division will be solid.

Still will be solid event if left alone.

Kitterman to u11 silver. Should make for good silver bracket in u11. Leaves u10 gold full of ntx teams again.

Saw that. U10 11v11 gold takes a hit for sure, moving #1 team in OK will do that.
