Blitz Tournament Empty Blitz Tournament

Schedules are out. Why doesn't the '04 group have a final? Just two brackets (A and B) that each play 3 games, but no crossover? Seems hokey, practically every other age group has a final, or at least gets 4 games in. Am I wrong for thinking there should be an A vs. B final?

I am sure there will be a final. As with most tournament schedules that are posted, the first posting always has errors.

We played in a tournament in St Louis this weekend and there were only 4 Gold teams. Played three games.

I agree with t-town05, that Gold bracket is too good not to have the A & B winners play each other in a final. More than likely you'll have top 2 from each bracket advance to a semi-finals round.

Hopefully the rain won't win this tournament like it did Cosmos Cup.

I will stay in state and say OFC and Blitz. Never know with tournaments. Out of state teams + guest players can change things.

On the 04 girls side it would be extremely disappointing if its not Blitz v. OFC in finals. That said its a tournament so you never know.

I predict TSC Careeno and Blitz in the final with the skill of TSC being to much for the blitz team. If the opponents agianst OFC match their physical play and the match has competent referees then OFC will not make the finals.

Congrats to Blitz for making the finals and OFC for taking the trophy. OFC 05 had a good showing and the TSC 05 group was impressive this weekend.

All of the teams were good teams, just looks like OFC had their Wheaties Sunday morning. I wish there would have been semis to see more crossover games. For TSC '05 to win two and tie one and not get to move on is tough, semis are great for instances like that. Good weekend of soccer, OFC finished strong.

We saw some good matches this weekend and always enjoy watching our kids compete, but this was most likely our last blitz tournament due to the poor organization. We experienced several instances in which the referees were 15-20 minutes late, elimination games played with only a center ref (these were not academy age games either....these were top brackets in age group) and the fact that there were no semi finals just really seemed cheap. Also, I definitely noticed some discrepancies in bracket structure/scheduling (which I know this always happens, but at least there is typically a semi final to counter that approach). Its unfortunate, but these experiences prohibit Tulsa soccer from drawing more out of state competition. Bummer!
