11/22/16. Anyone interested in playing DA can follow the process mentioned in the above link and have their coach fill out the Recommendation Form provided. These identification events are by invitation only and are open to all clubs in Oklahoma. There are no recruiting issues or commitment requirements to attend these events and they are free of charge. It is my understanding that invitations have already started being sent out but there is still plenty of time for your coach to recommend your child.

That info is for the younger kids, but what about tryouts for the older girls?
I believe when this happens you will see girls from OFCs top teams tryout and this will cause lots of drama!
TSC has always been off limits for OFC girls for ECNL.

Re: DA/ECNL Player Identification Process
Looking forward to tonight's ETC Identification event. I heard more than 100 players from 7 different clubs were invited to show their stuff in font of the DA, ECNL and US Soccer National Staff.
I'm so impressed that coaches from all over the state have recommended players for DA and the ETC Identification process. Love to see coaches unselfishly encouraging players to shoot for the stars. I did hear about one 05 coach who threatened to kick a player off his team if she attended and I think that's a shame. Can you imagine, a 10 year old girl being selected and wanting try out for the US Developmental Accademy in front of the US Soccer National Staff and a coach threatening to kick her off the team if she attended? It hurts my heart to hear about coaches like that but judging from the number of recomendations, Oklahoma has a lot more good coaches than bad.
Congratulations to the players who got invited and to the coaches who helped them make it. Who knows, maybe the next national team player will be there.

This is not DA tryouts. Is there any information out there on the actual DA tryouts?

Re: DA/ECNL Player Identification Process
ETC is the first step in identifying potential DA players for the 03,04,05 and 06 age groups. DA coaches and representatives will be recording players names during these scheduled events and creating a short list of potential players. If your child is interested in playing DA, you will want to have your coach fill out the recommendation form in the link above. DA tryouts for the older age groups will be a multi-step process and will be announced soon.

Re: DA/ECNL Player Identification Process
I wouldn't get too excited just yet... This first one was not really elite at all. When they say invitation only they mean anyone. The 03 group had about 6 players show up from ECNL and maybe 3-4 from the composite team. The rest was made up of the lower level teams and they were all there... You can see a definite difference in the level of play from the Opl/Srpl girls vs the ECNL/Composite.

Re: DA/ECNL Player Identification Process
The same thing happened with ECNL tryouts but eventually all of the top players who were interested showed up. I think the same thing will happen with the next two ETC sessions.
I don't know about the 03/04 age group but I did see most of the top 05/06 players from TSC, Blitz, Sheffield and NEOFC. There were even 2 girls who traveled from Arkansas and I wouldn't be surprised if we see quite a few more additions and even some subtraction during the next 2 sessions.

Re: DA/ECNL Player Identification Process
I didn't see any other players from anywhere besides TSC for the 03/04 group. The next two ETC trainings won't have any ECNL or composite players... they will all be in Dallas for games. Seems like they would make them a little more elite by invitation only and not worry about anyone's feelings getting hurt.
