It all depends. Was the team undefeated in Texas this year? If not, I could certainly see some changes being made. It seems to me that the top Texas teams are the measuring stick for this new TSC A-team. They are expected to be good enough to easily go undefeated in OPL. Anything less than that would be a disappointment. I don't know the new coach from Adam, but if I was him, I'd be looking for all the help I can get when tryouts come around. Not saying they need a bunch of help with what they have already, but I'd be looking for an upgrade anywhere I could find it. That's his job. Those top Texas teams are very tough to compete with.

Exactly: Dallas teams (which play at least an extra year of 11v11) are very tough. That is the point of combining talent early -- to have a prayer of overcoming the DFW talent pool size and being competitive regionally. The TSC A team needs the best kids from the B team and ultimately from Blitz. By the time they are ready for ECNL, OPL starts to become less competitive and when they are 15 it is a B/C league (behind ECNL and PLW). Ultimately, an Oklahoma team is only a truly great team if it can consistently beat the Dallas teams (like the 95s, 98s and 99s did/do). TSC A team not doing that yet.

Agreed, for the most part. I think a lot of the problem has been small roster and lack of fresh legs towards the end of game, especially in tournaments and especially in the Plano tournament. I think about 3-4 girls added should do it. I agree that the new coach should add to what he has and look especially to bolster positions where he thinks we need help via subs during games. Then its up to the girls to "fight" for the starting position. Like I said earlier, we only disagree in the number of girls taken on to our team. My guess is that we'll take 4 players...a mid, a wing/forward, and a backfield player. If we take four, I would be hard pressed to guess which position, but strongly suspect a field player...not saying wouldn't happen, just don't know what the new coach will be thinking. I also suspect current coach will have some input....only seems logical. Again, all speculation and all fun in spirit.

Yes, definitely all speculation -- and it livens up the forums. As always, there will be drama at and before tryouts in a lot of age groups  Ultimately, adding kids who can play at tryouts always helps, and the internal competition makes the girls and the team better.

I keep hearing a undefeated team in OPL but when I go to standings it shows a loss next to Kittermen?

That was a BS forfeit that OFC pulled...not a real game. That would explain the discrepancy....

Oh okay, why did the game get forfeited?

If I were winter parents I would be throwing a fit because those three points OFC got put them in second over winter's

Does anybody know when state cup schedules are coming out and why is it taking so long? I also heard that arsenal is out and it's going to be a 5 team bracket with everyone playing everyone and the top two advance to the next round for championship, any truth to that or thoughts?

Pretty sure 2-3 of winters top girls (maybe more?) have already verbally committed to join Kitterman bunch, looks like "tryouts" are just for show, possibly to keep the top girls they are not asking to join the A team around so the B team looks better. If your daughter hasn't been asked you may want to consider Blitz before it's too late. Not sure the remaining winters/Amos team will be very strong next season.

Cosmos, haven't heard anything but sounds like the fairest way to do it.

If there are only 5 teams that's how they do it -- one bracket, round robin and top two in points play in final, no semis.

Nothing set in Kittermanland....All speculation at this point. No one has been "asked" in advance, etc... The discussions I've heard are those centering around the number of players/mix, and it seems everyone has their own opinion, including me...That's what makes it fun. So, yoyokix, don't know where you heard this (or even if you did), but I can tell you that I've heard nothing about any "verbal commitments". Besides, since a new coach is taking over, don't think any verbal commitments to the "leaving coach" would be worth the air they're "written on"...So, bottom line, unofficial tryout season still open...heck had a girl from Texas this Saturday and two from TSC practicing just tonight...getting looked at.

Come on Fubar. Why so angry? Most of this forum is rumors and what people claim they hear. That's part of the fun and part of the problem with this forum. Hardly anyone gives specifics or where they get there info from. Many comments on here start with "I heard" and then ends with "well, that's just my opinion." Lol. It's so much "a lil birdy told me" going on in the forum. Granted, the lil birdy sometimes is in ones own head.

Rumor that at least 2 girls are moving from Winters to Kitterman is old news. The rumor that I made up says the 2 played with Kitterman at the Lexus Cup.

This is suppose lo be a competetive soccer forum not a rumor forum. There should be some validity to what people post. If the Blitz club has to use rumors with no substance to recruit players that's not a good sign. Maybe Blitz players should think really hard about where they play next year. If the rumors are correct TSC is going to have not one, but two very very good teams.

Thats not a rumor, The Winters girls are rostered for State Cup... Everybody knows that! But Parker and Griffin are two completely different coaches... Parker runs his tryouts in a big pool and you may think you know where you are going but don't be too sure. The 02 tryouts last year were the real deal with alot of shake up.

It's not just Blitz that spreads rumors. It happens with both clubs. Not justifying either, but some in both do it. Yes, I have to defend my club. Kinda funny too Fubar that you start your post with "soccer forum not a rumor forum" and end it with "if the rumors are correct." Lol.. Not slamming you or bad mouthing you, just thought ironic.

Also I believe Yoyo is from the Cosmos. Rumors are rampant on these pages. Best just to let it play out. Kitterman has a great team already and will be strong next year no matter what. I have kids at Blitz and TSCH and I would say there are rumors going on from both sides all the time. Makes it interesting and fun. Lets just enjoy our girls playing. In a few years none of this will matter. Trophies collect dust.

YoYo seems kinda Blitzy to me, as he was asking for people to come on out to Blitz. No biggie, just my observation.
