Kitterman may or may not be as good and want to avoid the other top 04s so they don't have that loss to deal with.  But they are the "top team", so why mess with the others.

It is assumed Blitz can only win when they have 03 guest players, so the need to play up in 03 division.

Gunners, do you know if Kitterman or Blitz are using 03 guest players? That option had not crossed my mind.
No Kitterman is all 04's I do not know about Winters, I have been told he does use 03's to play sometimes but not for sure this time!! I will try to find out..

Gunners, question wasn't about Winters, they are playing true age. What about Blitz, anyone know if they are using 03's?

Sorry, Blitz would use 03's. That is my opinion!

Until one team dominates the 04 division they should all play their true age. No team (Kitterman, Winters, or Blitz) has dominated everyone. Kitterman beats winters, Blitz beats Kitterman, and Winters beats Blitz. A true pre season king could have been crowned if all 4 ( kitterman, blitz, winters, and ofc) were all in the same bracket. Maybe in Plano a king will be crowned.

Sparky said it best. We will just have to wait and see though since some teams try avoiding others.

I do not think these teams are avoiding each other, I just think they have other goals than playing some of the same teams they will see later in the fall season!! It is early, by the end of fall season we will know who is #1 Very Happy

I've always been of the opinion that playing your tough opponents helps you better prepare for the next time you play them. There are adjustments that can be made, and lessons learned by playing each other. If Blitz, Kitterman, OFC, and Winters were to play each other at beat the heat it would (in my opinion) be to their advantage when they face each other again in OPL. That is not going to happen, so best to move on.

Anyone want to take a shot at how this bracket will play out?
My guess.
1. Texas Spirit
2. OFC 04
3. TSC Winters
4. Sting (I do not know anything about this team)

I'm going to flip 2 & 3.
1. TX Spirit
2. Sting
3. TSC Winters - because of injuries, choice of 2&3 is tossup
4. OFC 04

This Sting team qualified for D1 in Dallas Lake Highlands.

1. Texas Spirt (easy pic)
2. Sting G (good team and they have been playing more this summer than the OK teams)
3. OFC (my upset pic although this may be a stretch since it is their first 11v11 action)
4. TSCH (good team, but I had to put someone at 4)

Everyone is probably right about OFC. I just know from past history when NOKC and ESC combine for OFC the teams are usually pretty good. Im probably not putting enough emphasis on this being their first 11vv11 games. So, I probably do have them to high for now.

Your OFC pick is looking pretty smart after the first game. Interested to see how it goes against Tx Spirit.

Wipeouts for Blitz 04 in 03 Silver bracket and Winters in 11v11 Bracket for 04. Amos won in 8v8 Gold. Kitterman, (with some 03 Amos guests) did fair in 03 Gold bracket. Early in the season, doubt this will be final word as a lot of soccer coming down the pike!

Yes, with 03 guest players on both Blitz and TSC Kitterman...the tournament results were hardly a definitive statement.....still surprised at Blitz's showing though.

Actually thought Winters would do better than they did seeing as the Kitterman team just beat that Guzman team (formally Diaz) twice in May as well as our record vs Texas Spirit is 1-1.

From what I hear kitterman should have done "fair" with 4 very good players from 03 Amos. Will be interesting to see what they do without them. Thought winters looked good in their game vs ofc. Don't know if 04 kitterman would fair much better vs 2 Texas teams. They are two very good teams. Saw some of
04 blitz. They struggled a bit but my understanding they came with true 04 team and had 0-03 guests. Will be fun to watch these 4 teams battle it out in OPL.

One huge statement made from beat the heat was NTtx teams dominated Oklahoma teams. If Oklahoma wants to compete with NTtx they need to reconsider in the future how they form teams.

I think the key is to grow the population centers in OK about 6-7 times their current levels first....then form the teams.

While OK could do a lot of things better within its club structure, it seems to complete well given its player pool size.

You are correct about the population difference. But I disagree with your statement about competing. I do not think there is an OK team in any age group on the radar of the top NTX teams.

No doubt 03's helped Kitterman. OPL will be interesting. Blitz had no 03's, so not too worried there. Winter's looked very much off their game, and not just due to missing goalie...though that didn't help, I'm sure! Blitz still with some injuries that are slow to recover.

My point was the despite the massive population disadvantage to Texas, OK doesn't to too bad.  Generally our best teams can hang or beat with all but the top 2-4 teams in most age groups, with some exceptions (either way).  Also, you will find that the younger the age, the more dominant the TX advantage is.

Also, I think there are several OK teams that are on N Texas teams' radar--OFC 01, OFC 00, TSCH 98 ECNL, TSCH 99

And I will make a bold prediction.....I think the 04 group is strong in OK...particularly in Tulsa.  TSC will eventually sort out the 04 age group.  Winters and Kitterman issue will dissolve.  They will be out of the picture and a very very good 04 team will emerge.  The top Blitz 04 girls will be siphoned over to TSC before ECNL play rolls along, and I think TSC 04 will be on North Texas radar.   Cool
