Highlanders Cup

Has anyone done the Highlanders Cup in Bixby in the past?

Yes. My daughter (04) 1x and my son (06) 2x.

Good preseason games. The tournament fields are fairly nice. And parking is good.

A few teams from Wichita, Arkansas & OKC may show up. Some, but much less than half, Tulsa teams.

Some do and some don't...I think that this tournament is pretty thin and given the fact that most teams won't be the same in three short months, it's not worth it for the better teams to engage because no one really cares at this point. Next year will be completely different and excitement will reign.... At least, that's my prediction. This spring is a place holding season....

What about the boys accepted teams?? Anyone have that list ?

Schedules are up.

Schedules make no sense on 04 side.

agree, not sure I've ever seen brackets like that? if you even still call them brackets? why not just add semis?

Hopefully they are making changes to this group. TSC sharp plays 8:00 and 10:00 on Saturday. That seems odd as well.

I know they have been making adjustments to this, so hopefully they are not done. But this schedule now is messed up more than when they started. And the times on Sunday are a killer for the 2 teams that have to play 3 games.

That's funny how the top three teams won't face each other till the semi's.

Shouldn't the top three teams actually play each other before the semi's. Can someone please enlighten me why?

They don't even play in semi's! They have Blitz, Carreno and Parker in pool A and only play pool B teams. They most likely will all be 3-0. The three other teams are in pool B and most likely will be 0-3. The semi's are setup that pool A#1 plays pool B#2. This mean one 3-0 team will not make semi's and 2 0-3 teams will be in semi's. Plus you are playing the same teams in Semi's that you just beat up on in pool play. CRAZY!

Just idiotic. It will come down to whoever can cream their opponent the worst. Bad bad soccer

TD did what he could to make sure a BIXBY team made it to semis, must be an '04 coach...

TD is also the Vice President for OSA. That might also explain some of the actions from OSA.

Looks like the tournament didn't go as thought. Looks like Parker and Carreno didn't do as well as predicted. Maybe TD didn't do that bad of job putting it together.
