TSC vs NOKC Friendlies This Weekend

What are you looking forward to seeing? I don't know all the teams that well but I will take a crack at it.....


07 Girls - TSC with the definite edge here from what I have seen...I believe the majority of the NOKC team are 08 girls....I watched some of the 07 TSC girls in 3v3 summer on several occasions and they are really really good. I also watched some of the NOKC girls and they will be good..beat up on girls in their age group pretty good (already some good passing and ball movement) so this might be a bit closer than I originally thought.
06 Girls - Cant imagine TSC top team having much of an issue here.
05 Girls - This will be interesting!!! I am really looking forward to watching this match. I know NOKC 05 girls have gotten better...are the sides still pretty evenly matched?

08 Boys - Watch out for the NOKC 08 Boys team..they are loaded with talent. This will be a fun team to watch as they develop.
07 Boys - Not very familiar with either side here.
06 Boys - Both come home a bit beat up from Plano but very interested to see who comes out on top here. Bragging rights for top team in state at stake? Although, in looking at the schedule it looks like top teams may not meet unless I am reading it wrong. It looks like one of the 06 Boys teams will get a crack at NOKC 05 Red!
05 Boys - Will be interesting to see if TSC 05B can keep it close. NOKC boys rarely tested in state so will be a good test to see if TSC has closed the gap. I got to watch the first half of this matchup in 3v3 this summer and it was over before it started.

So how has the nokc 05 girls gotten better? New girls? New coach?

Interesting match ups with two big clubs for academy friendlies. Somebody should post scores. Our club plays mostly in house . Saw a bit of Nokc 06 before we played in Plano. They have some difference makers this season. Suprised if not matching up with Tulsas top team.

The 06 top teams already played (8-16). TSC Kepley girls won 5-0 v NOKC 06g Red, while Kepley's #2s lost 0-1.

I saw copy of schedule, and it indeed does show TSCH 06b gold playing NOKC 05b Red @2pm. I'm wondering if this matchup will be more competitive than the 1 b/t the 2 05 teams played earlier in the day, given that 5-6 of the TSCH 05s now play 04 soccer.

And to me, Blitz 06b Navy is still the #1 team.

- 004 Tulsa I think you were right there had to be a few kids from last years team were not there but I recognized several kids from last years first team so was surprised this got so ugly so quickly. Our boys played great soccer and really controlled possession and shared the ball well today. They are tough to beat when focused and motivated.

NOKC 05B Red - 8 TSC 06B Gold - 2
- NOKC dominated the second half but this was a close game for awhile. I was pretty impressed with the TSC 06 group. They were definitely outclassed but kept fighting and have some good pieces to build around. Their goalie made several top notch saves in second half.

Thank you for coming up, we appreciate the game. I just wish we hadn't run out of gas in the second half and could've made it more competitive for you all.

& thanks for kind words about my son. Our boys started strong, taking 1-0 lead. And faded afterwards. 1-2 at half. Gave up another 3 goals, then had a nice free kick over the wall into the net. NOKC had 2 or 3 goals (I had it 7-2) to finish up game.

Your team did really well finding the open man running into the box. Good luck for rest of season.

Carreno gold and Carreno red swapped times. NOKC got red 2-1. Carreno gold got NOKC red 4-0 later in the afternoon.

Nokc 06 score if I remember right was 7 or 8 to 0 or 1 for first game and maybe some where around 20-0 last game. Sounds like gold would have been a better match up. Maybe next spring.

Bad info on my previous post...after speaking with my TSC connection he corrected me also. He said NOKC looked flat. Said all goals were in first half??? then NOKC held their own. Tough conditions to say the least for both. Any bright spots for NOKC from those in attendance? We will be heading down possibly for their tourn in a month...looks like the South Lakes tourn will give a better overall picture of the OKC Metro teams

How many games or friendly has Nokc played this fall? That may have something to do with the 4-0 score? Has Tsc RED gotten that much better? Nokc and Tsc red played last spring according to got soccer and it wasnt even close.

Thats why I put that question out there...as far as I've heard that was NOKC's first game/friendly. Maybe we can get someone to fill us in from down there.

Thanks to those who shared scores.  Anyone have addiitional scores to share?  I would love to know what happened in some of the other age groups.

A couple of thoughts:
05 Girls - TSC Carreno a really strong side....that was a pretty convincing win.....no doubt in my mind they are top team in state.  TSC building what appears to be a very strong 05 group for the future.
06 Boys - Why didnt they match up the two top teams.  Seems very odd.  The NOKC boys won both games pretty easily.  I am hoping we see this match-up soon (It looks like we will see Blitz vs NOKC in southlakes - TSC top team not coming?)
05 Boys - Wow...is TSC just that down in the 05 age group?  I was looking forward to watching this game.  I watched about 10mins and looked like NOKC could have named their score (obviously they did).  They have alot of talent front to back and some very very talented mids/forwards.  NOKC 05 second team won both games and looked to have some pretty good players as well.

For TSC 05 boys, yes they are that down. 4-5 players off of previous top team (TSC 05b gold) left to play for WSA 04b gold). Another left to play for TSC 04b Sharp. The age group was in turmoil before all of this.

My understanding of why TSC 06b gold played NOKC 05b red was that clubs wanted to get NOKC 05b red games vs top 2 academy boys teams. The intent was to get all visiting NOKC teams 2 games, and all TSC teams 1 game...I'm not sure that competition was thought of for any teams except NOKC 05b red (& they obviously didn't get much in 1st game) & 05g red.
