So I was a neutral party (no kid playing for either team) at the SLSC/Winters game. I'd say Winters had a lot of the possession (70-30) and created a quite a few more real chances than SLSC. The vast majority of the SLSC time in the attacking 3rd was set up by #23 streaking down the right side of the pitch. She's a really fast player on the ball, but never was able to get a clean cross into the area. Most of her runs resulted in a corner kick or free kick that SLSC couldn't convert. The only SLSC goal came off Winter's goalie committing an error (short clearance in the middle of the pitch). It seemed that Winters controlled the game and really dominated the midfield.

What I am going to say is winter's is a big strong team who shined when they played 8v8 because there big strong players could cover a lot of field. With that being said the fields we played on yesterday was not even close to regulation size, they were a lot smaller. We are a team who spreads the fieldand pass pass pass, and we struggled to do that on there field because of the size and11 girls there was not a lot of space. We got beat fair and square and as a parent I except the loss all I'm saying is that when weplay at slsc I think we will look a lot better than we did at winters fields.

Field size. Better go make sure field #5 at NOKC is correct size. Wouldn't want to handicap you again this weekend.
