Re: OSA Needs New Leadership
Yoyokix are you a bandwagon blitz fan in recent post you didn't give them a chance and now they are the team to beat, maybe Parker isn't the team everybody thinks they are just because they are from Tsc. When slsc beats Parker they will still want to play blitz to prove they are team to beat

Didn't know Parker was missing starters, that does change things, but unfortunately may give them the boot to silver...

Re: OSA Needs New Leadership
Yep, Parker beat SLSC in OT. So unless they win tomorrow SLSC is going to be relegated. If they win by 2 or more goals than Parker is relegated based on goal differential. Does that sound right?
Also, I heard that Blitz was missing a key player as well yesterday. So lets not go down this missing players path cause its sounds like they were in similar situations.
So based off of the games so far, any predictions for tomorrow's Blitz vs SLSC match-up?

Great job to the Parker team... Feels like I'm watching State Cup all over again... All this slamming the other teams and their girls have a way of biting you in the rear...

Re: OSA Needs New Leadership
I havent heard Parker parents making any exscuses. Yes we were missing 3 girls including the goal keeper. Blitz was missing a mid fielder/defender. It is what it is. Parker had chances to score. Blitz won. It wasnt for the World Cup Championship. We will all play each other many more times. Whichever team gets relegated will most likely be back in the Spring.

Re: OSA Needs New Leadership
So tired of teams using missing/hurt players. This is a constant issue with pro games as well, not an excuse. It just happens. So are we really focused on who gets into Gold by a hair or bad refs or lucky goal. At this point we see why OSA made their decision. I will give credit to SLSC they must have played their hearts out. We give credit to the girls...Isn't that where credit is do? Hold head high ladies, sure you left it all on the pitch. Well done.

Re: OSA Needs New Leadership
That was not an excuse from my earlier point. My point was that one win does not make you the team to beat. To be honest the team to beat as I understand it will not even be playing in the 04's (TSC Griffin). That leaves OFC in my opinion as the team to bea in the 04's No ecxuses and sorry if the post was taken that way.

Re: OSA Needs New Leadership
I am an SLSC parent today and it was a really good game. Kudos to Parker kids for knocking that shot in with about a minute to play.....clutch.
For the record, I think the narrative is getting blurred here a little. SLSC parents have never made a case that they deserved to be in over Blitz or Parker just that the slim margin between the teams during the season didn't seem to rise to the level of having ANY of them relegated.
But to someone's earlier point the odd man out will most likely be back in Gold by the spring and all three have a chance to earn their way in this weekend.

All slsc has to do is beat blitz and there in I think, is that correct?

I think it has to be a 2 point victory. Otherwise girls will all be 1-1, Blitz will have point differential over both SLSC and Parker (who will be tied in point differential), and then SLSC would lose tiebreaker to Parker due to head to head loss.
Don't quote me on that though....

Re: OSA Needs New Leadership
I believe cosmos is correct. Slsc wins and all three teams tied. Head to head is out and go to point diff. Blitz and slsc will advance. As long as blitz doesn't get beat by 3 goals.

Looks like the playins were a giant waste. Blitz won today. So the #3 and #4 teams from last season remain in OPL I.

Who else do you think should have been in?

Re: OSA Needs New Leadership
According to the new rules that OSA put out, the teams that should be in are in. I think SLSC deserve to be in OPL I over TSC Amos, but that's not how things shook out. SLSC should win OPL II and come back in the spring and I predict that NYSA will be the team relegated in the Fall.

Re: OSA Needs New Leadership
OPL 1 NYSA, TSC Amos, OFC, Parker and Blitz
OPL 2 NEOFC, Unity white, Cosmos, TSC Harding, OFC white, WSA red, Arsenal, CVFC and Unity blue
OFC looks like the favorite in 1, but Blitz and Parker could surprise. Cosmos the big favorite in 2. Not sure who to pick as the surprise team in 2?

WSA red will be pretty good. They have girls from old Blitz team and 1 from old Kitterman team.

Re: OSA Needs New Leadership
IMO, TSC Harding, OFC White, and OK Arsenal will round out the top 4 with SLSC in OPL II. WSA Red was just adequate last year and a couple of girls doesn't take a mid-table team to a contender. I hope I'm wrong as I'd like to see another team step up and deliver stiff competition, but that team will have a lot to prove come September.
