Any u13 girls predictions? Hard since most teams are new, but I will guess DTS and OFC in the finals of gold and DTS 05 and OFC white in the finals of silver. Sting Parsons could jump in silver and I will go with Blitz as the dark horse in gold. Will be fun weekend and see how these teams look after all the changes.

In U-13 gold. OFC and DTS can't both be in the finals. They are only taking bracket winner for the finals and they both are in the same bracket.

Bracket B in u13 Gold is a toss up. The games between those three teams should be very hard fought games.

I assumed there was a semifinal. That makes things hard on OFC if DTS is as good as they normally are. The DTS 05 group was really good last year so I bet they are still a top NTX team.

Having a fun tournament so far...the weather has been phenomenal!!! Knocked off the rust Friday night with a 2-0 win over SLSC Cosmos - Gulikers. Then today 6-2 win over Bellatores our of north TX. About to head back to the field to play Celtic 05 at 4:30...should be fun!

in the 04's, OFC 04 beat the Dallas TExans 04G Central(Mustangs) 4-3 earlier in the morning and Blitz beat the FC Dallas Youth 04G Premier 4-2.

They have excellent skills and absolutely put up a fight. We are still adjusting to the smaller fields and goals. It really is tough to play 11's all last year and now go back to these tiny fields. Our girls get frustrated with no space and it kind of takes your speed away...

So true. 9v9 seems like a completely different game that can be influenced by one or two strong scorers where 11v11 seems to require more team dynamic. I see the strengths of small-sided play but it is definitely a challenging transition back to 9v9.
