Beat the Heat 2015
So what is everyone's take???? Looks like OFC has given themselves a pretty hard seeding.... I for one over the years have been vocal regarding how OFC makes it easy for themselves to reach the finals... This year they have stepped it up! Best of luck, show those texas teams what Oklahoma is all about! Best of luck to Griffin as well!

Agree with Soonerdad04. OFC is emerging as always as W sides top club. This schedule has some class to it.

I guess SLSC 04 didn't even bother to show? Anybody know where they are?

Re: Beat the Heat 2015
Are we required to show? This must be an OSA mandated event along with Lexus cup as TSC and OFC have OSA at their beckon call. Even with that, must we show up since our coach has a conflict? Plus i mean OFC took half our team Of course we should show. Now OFC on the other hand, its okay to miss Plano. I mean their coach has a conflict there but they are indeed OFC! By the way, where is TSC Parker? Where is Blitz? Where is Waldo? This is an OSA mandatory event dadgummit we all should show!
My favorite is that this thread actually praises OFC for making a fair schedule I guess after state cup that is to be expected. But again, how low are our standards that OFC receives praise for being so daring as to have a fair schedule that does not force forfeits. Oh wait, did i just read that OFC scheduled a 7:00 a.m. game against the weaker of the dallas teams in their bracket? I digress. Either way, excellent job OFC you didn't completely screw the other teams to create an advantage. Therefore, we sing glorious praises to you for creating a FAIR schedule!
Now, in fairness you ask where are we. My wife typically says i live in outerspace but that's just too personal. My physical realm and that for most of our team includes the disadvantaged areas (compared to the Temple on a hill known as Edmond and NOKC) of SW OKC, norman and surrounding areas. Go watch Straight out of Compton this week and you can get an idea of the hard life these girls lead.
On a serious note, we are practicing, playing, getting healthy and getting ready for Plano.

Re: Beat the Heat 2015
I think that if Griffin beats the KS team, then I don't think they'll have Griffin play against Texans Dallas in the semis, regardless of how that game plays out...it'll be OFC vs Griffin and Texans vs Texans, most likely. Usually, that's how it's done to avoid playing the same team two games in a row. But who knows? Anything can happen, including a loss by Griffin to the KS team....Plus, that's how the play-offs are set up currently.

Re: Beat the Heat 2015
Looks like the Carreno 05 team is beating up on the 04 Oklahoma south teams.. Not sure anyone else down there would beat them. In the gold division it looks like we have some work to do with our Oklahoma 04 teams.. Texas handled us pretty good.. Maybe in a few weeks in Plano they all can show well!! Until then have a good few weeks of training everyone!

Re: Beat the Heat 2015
Texas teams take the hardware home in 04 gold and silver. That is not surprising, but thought OK teams would be more competitive. Texans south was very impressive. Big gap between them and both OFC and TSC.

Re: Beat the Heat 2015
Great job to DT south they are a very good team. I predicted TSC Griffin to be in the finals and bring home the gold. Its early and once all the talent on this team finds their chemistry they will be very successful. If this occurs within a couple of weeks.....watch out Plano!!!!

Thx for the well run tournament. Fields were nice. My only wish would be that the fields not be 25 lights/intersections from any interstate! Good luck in Plano.

Is Griffin playing silver or gold in Plano?

Re: Beat the Heat 2015
I would bet on gold. They are good enough to compete and win at that level.

Re: Beat the Heat 2015
I suspect Griffin will play in Gold. I would think Parker, SLSC, Blitz and OFC would be a better fit in silver at this point. Last year both OFC and SLSC were in the semifinals with OFC winning. I suspect NYSA and Amos if they go, will be in the third or fourth (if there is one). Its not a slam but that's where they played last year and struggled not making it to the quarterfinals.

Re: Beat the Heat 2015
Ha have some more cool aid an elevator music. This isn't a after school special. This is competitive soccer. The test of development is the games themselves. I would say some kids on bubble or lower teams will find other interests. They may move on to something else. I would say that keep developing a love of soccer. Winning is a good way to make them like it too. Just saying. Don't hate winning to the point you demonize it...at any age.
